5 productivity hacks in sales

Regardless if you are a newbie or a veteran in sales, there will always be new ways to improve your daily workflows. Seeking for refinements is a duty we owe to ourselves and our clients. Below, I have compiled a list of my favorite extensions that boosted my productivity. All of them follow a Freemium model which means that they can be used for free in a limited capacity or be upgraded to a paid plan.

1. Alexa Traffic Rank

"What is the value of this lead?" is a question that often echoes in the sales department. Qualifying a lead has become increasingly complex as one-man businesses and hackers can now easily create beautiful websites and misleading social media profiles. One thing that is tougher to control is the popularity of the websites created.

Alexa provides a global rank that is calculated from a combination of daily visitors and pageviews on a website over a 3-month period. A higher rank is typically a strong indication of a valid opportunity that should be prioritized.
  • Helps to qualify a lead
  • Validates the authenticity of a website
  • Prioritizes opportunities

2. World Time Buddy

If you happen to work with clients in different time zones you know how difficult it is to schedule a call. Setting a call at the wrong time of the day looks unprofessional and may have dire consequences. How easy can you convert time in multiple time zones at the same time?

Luckily, World Time Buddy offers a world clock, a time zone converter, and an online meeting tool all in one. The free version allows for a maximum of four simultaneous locations which is more than enough for most cases.
  •  Schedules client meetings in different timezones
  •  Finds the correct time live for calls and meetings
  •  Navigates through multiple time zones at the same time

3. You Can Book Me

An even faster way to schedule appointments is by using Youcanbook.me. This is an online scheduling tool that displays your calendar availability with your clients. Instead of emailing back and forth to you can just share your personal Youcanbook.me link and let the client find a suitable time for an appointment.

Some of my favorite features are the ability to set your working hours, decide the length of the appointment in advance and setting the required fields before someone schedules a time slot with me.

Pro-tip: Add the link to your signature so that your clients can easily reach you when they need to.

Each email address has a "Confidence score" that represents the accuracy of the email address. The free version allows 150 credits per month but paid plans with more credits are available too. Considering the latest General Data Protection Regulations, use it at your own risk.

Bonus: Grammarly

There is no surer way to look like an amateur than by having typos in your email. Grammar errors and misspells happen to all of us and some times they are really hard to spot on. Fortunately, Grammarly extension comes to the rescue!

Grammarly uses language processing AI to detect and eliminate grammar errors in your emails and other documents. The software scans your text and underlines any words that are misspelled. You can easily create a free account and integrate it with Outlook or Gmail.
